Little Masters Programme

The Little Masters Programme (“The Programme”) is designed for children of all ages to learn about the ancient art form of Lion and Dragon Dance particularly those children who are less fortunate than most, have special needs or even have aspiring sports talent and are not able to fully enrich their potential. The Programme can specially cater for children in their early primary to early elementary ages.

Scope of Programme
The Programme invites schools and their students to participate and gain insight into the Art of Lion and Dragon Dancing through a 12 -18 week course. Each class is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours. The Programme broadly covers three main area: 1. The History of Lion and Dragon Dance 2. Costume and Props 3. Movements The Programme aims to teach traditional lion and dragon dance skills to participants. Through the Programme children are able to develop qualities such as team work and spirit, personal co-ordination and discipline. The Programme can also pave the path for participants with stronger interests to continue training in basic, intermediate, advanced and instructor courses. Students often gain the opportunity to perform and compete, representing their school , the territory, region and country in competition developing their own sense of self and team achievement. Students in turn learn to master their skills teach juniors and contribute back to society by helping others.
